According to the state police, the truck was traveling on the Wantagh State Parkway when it impacted an overpass between 2 and 3 A.M. The cars were being delivered by Evolution Motorsports of Tempe, Arizona, to Legend Autorama in Massapequa as part of an event called the Evolution Motorsports/Gumpert Racing Summer Tour. The Porsche shown here, a tuned 911 known as the 997.1EVT1200, incurred significant damage. Lamborghini Valentino Balboni Spyder video @ Jalopnik

A spy photographer for the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport recently caught the topless version of Lamborghini’s LP550-2 Valentino Balboni tear-assing around the Nürburgring. It sounds great. Too bad it doesn’t make any sense.Yep, that’s right: Senseless! As the fine folks at Axis of Oversteer remind us, the idea of a topless, track-focused supercar is a little silly. And yeah, it’s probably going to be a bit heavier and a bit duller than its fixed-roof sibling.

Don’t care. Sounds nice. Looks pretty. Would have around just because topless Gallardos sound amazing. ‘Nuff said.
